On September 16th, we will be walking 20 kms to show our commitment to Stichting AfroNed. Will you help us raise funds? The proceeds will be used for the three schools we built in the north of Sierra Leone: teachers' salaries, school uniforms, maintenance and, if we're lucky, school lunches. The latter are a great way to motivate parents to send their children to school!

Stichting AfroNed wants to improve the lives and perspectives of children in Sierra Leone. In this country in West Africa, going to school is not a given as it is in many other parts of the world. One of the reasons for this is that parents often cannot afford to pay school fees for their children. To overcome this hurdle, we facilitate primary education without asking for school fees. Our core activity is building schools in the Koinadugu district, Sierra Leone's largest district.
