This year I have signed up to run a 6k - it's not far but it is in the middle of June so the chances are high that I will end up looking like a sweaty beetroot.
I am running to raise money for EKIPP, a group I was fortunate enough to stumble across 3 years ago, a couple of months after my son was diagnosed with autism. I joined just to meet other parents who understand what it is to have to spend hours watching garage doors opening and shutting, but over the years have received legal advice, moral support, a place to socialise, borrowed books, found activities, therapists and much more.
The money we hope to raise will go towards medical evaluation, therapy, parent training, medical equipment and respite care for families
