This year the parent collective that I actively volunteer for in Paris, EKIPP (Extraordinary Kids in Paris...Parents too!), has partnered with SPRINT France to run the "Course des Heros", a fundraising run/walk for associations to raise money to support their causes. I personally will be participating in the 6 km run/walk with 100s of famillies.
SPRINT offers bursaries to EKIPP families in need, to help cover the costs of therapies, evaluations, respite care, and anyting else related to caring for a child with special needs. EKIPP provides ongoing support, information sessions, inclusive events and regular playgroups for our families. The funds raised from this event will help EKIPP and SPRINT reach more families in need and expand their offerings, while keeping most of what EKIPP provides to families free of charge. Cette association a pour but d'aider les enfants inadaptés bilingue et anglophone de la communauté internationale en difficulté quelconque ou qui sont en situation d'isolement de manière à les aider à mieux s'insérer dans la vie française.
