As some of you may know, I will be running my second marathon this fall in Berlin. I am extremely excited for the race, especially because this year I will also be raising money to help Team World Vision.
World Vision is the largest non-govermenmental provider of clean water throughout the world. Because of World Vision, over 4.6 million people were given access to clean, drinkable water in the last year.
Water is something I know I take for granted, especially on my long runs. However, about 11% of the world population does not have access to clean, drinkable water, and worldwide, about 1 out of 5 deaths in children is due to a water-related disease. Fortunately, there are organizations like World Vision that are helping with the world-wide water crisis, and they're saving lives in the process.

World Vision ist ein Kinderhilfswerk mit den Arbeitsschwerpunkten nachhaltige Entwicklungszusammenarbeit, Katastrophenhilfe und entwicklungspolitische Anwaltschaftsarbeit. World Vision trägt das DZI-Spenden-Siegel und wurde von Spiegel Online 2014 als Transparenzsieger ausgezeichnet. Alvarum erhält 5% + 1,9% Transaktionsgebühren der hier gesammelten Spenden. Ab 25 € wird eine Zuwendungsbestätigung ausgestellt.
