I have decided to do something amazing in 2016, and that thing is (gulp...) to run a marathon. As a granny, and also as someone very new to running, this is a very challenging goal. I have chosen to run the Paris Marathon on the 3rd April 2016 and in doing so to raise funds for Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors without Borders). I have chosen MSF because I greatly admire the amazing work they do in the most difficult and dangerous of circumstances. My trip is entirely self funded, so all donations go via this page completely and directly to Médecins Sans Frontières. I have been training hard, and this year I have completed 3 half marathons, but a full marathon is another animal altogether.
In order to gain a place in the marathon, participants need to successfully raise at least 800 EUROs for Médecins Sans Frontières. On current exchange rates, that is $1234 Australian, or $US 880.
I would greatly appreciate it if you could help me in my fundraising efforts by making a donation to Médecins Sans Frontières or bringing awareness around my fundraising efforts. Donations of any size, tiny or big, will help continue the valuable life saving work of Medecins Sans Frontieres.
Donations are processed through Alvarum, and are tax deductible.
It is very easy and 100% secure.
Thank you for your help!
